Jinshan Receives TSX-V Approval To Extend Warrants

Vancouver, Canada --- Jinshan Gold Mines announced today that it has received approval from the TSX Venture Exchange to extend the expiry date of warrants held by Ivanhoe Mines to purchase 5.1 million common shares of Jinshan Gold Mines. Ivanhoe Mines now has until July 2, 2005, to exercise the warrants. 

Each warrant entitles Ivanhoe Mines to acquire one common share of the company at a price of C$1.15 per share. The warrants were issued in connection with a C$4.59 million private placement that closed on July 3, 2002. 

Jinshan has approximately 48.5 million shares issued and outstanding and approximately 62.6 million shares on a fully-diluted basis. Ivanhoe Mines owns 38.55% of Jinshan's issued and outstanding shares and 45.16% on a fully-diluted basis. 

Jinshan Gold Mines is a Canadian company focused on the exploration and development of precious and base metals (gold, copper and platinum group metals) in the People's Republic of China. 

Jinshan shares are listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol JIN.
